CONNECT
Our Connect events are designed to help students meet each other, build friendships, and get to know more about Global Café, the university, greater Bradford, and the UK. These events are a great way to welcome new students to Bradford and create a sense of community.
Such events include:
Welcome BBQ: Join us for a fun-filled barbecue at the Discovery Centre. Meet fellow students, enjoy delicious food, and learn more about what Global Café has to offer (Wednesday and Friday welcome week and Student Fayre)
Game Nights: Unwind and have fun with a variety of games. Whether you're into board games, card games, or video games, there's something for everyone (Fridays)
Coffee/ tea Chats: Grab a cup of coffee and join us for casual conversations. It's a perfect opportunity to make new friends and share your experiences (Mostly Wednesday events and some Fridays)
Movie Nights: Enjoy a movie with friends in a relaxed setting. We'll provide the popcorn!
BELONG
Our Belong events focus on fostering a sense of community and belonging. These events celebrate cultural diversity and help students connect with their heritage.
Such events include:
Cultural Celebrations/cultural-themed nights: Celebrate various cultural festivals and traditions with us. Share your culture and learn about others in a vibrant and inclusive environment.
Potlucks/ International nights: Bring a dish from your home country and enjoy a diverse array of foods from around the world. It's a great way to share your culinary traditions and taste new flavours. Each dinner is an opportunity to learn about and appreciate the rich diversity of our community.
EXPLORE
Our Explore events encourage faith exploration and personal growth. These events provide a space for students to learn about different faith traditions, engage in meaningful discussions, and participate in activities that promote personal development.

Alpha Course:
We are currently running the Alpha Course for students who are seeking to explore the Christian faith. The Alpha Course is a series of sessions that explore the basics of the Christian faith in a welcoming, open, and friendly environment.
Each session includes a talk designed to encourage conversation and a discussion in small groups where you can share your thoughts and ask questions.
